Bantani Education is a non-profit organisation based in Belgium, working collaboratively to drive entrepreneurial and creative lifelong learning. By bringing together extensive policy and practical experience, we work with public, community and private sector partners to embed entrepreneurial skills into all type of learning. We work to build new collaborations and initiatives involving policy makers, educators, community and the private sector, to embed high quality entrepreneurial and creative learning practice and policy into formal and non-formal learning.
What kind of projects are we involved in?
We work in a range of international projects linked to formal education and non-formal entrepreneurial learning, working with international institutions, national governments and a range of innovative organisations across Europe and globally. The themes of these projects include teacher education, primary school innovation, assessment, national community building, inclusive education, women’s entrepreneurship, economic empowerment for migrants and developing new curriculum for schools. Right now, we are building a global community around entrepreneurial learning for teachers and educators around the world to network, share and learn, and a big part of this is building an exciting and engaging communications strategy and designing innovative online learning programmes.
About the internship/traineeship
Bantani Education has a successful history of working with young talent through various internship schemes including Erasmus+. We are happy to accept applications for internships in any of the following roles. If you are looking to complete an internship as part of your undergraduate or post graduate studies we will support you through any necessary course requirements such as evaluation reports or tutor discussions.
The successful candidate will work alongside our team to help implement a high-profile range of actions connected to our work supporting entrepreneurial learning.
This is the perfect position for you if you are a new or recent graduate at either under graduate or post-graduate level and are eligible for an Erasmus+ traineeship (linked to your university). We are seeking new colleagues who are:
- Keen to learn and can take the initiative
- Currently studying or can show active interest in areas of work relevant to Education, Community/Development studies, International Studies, Communications or other similar courses
- Interested in the education and lifelong learning sectors
- Creative and confident in how you approach a task – from content creation to creating systems to manage international projects
- Able to write and communicate in English to a high level (C2) – additional languages are a big plus
- Able to work well as part of a team
To succeed in this role you should be able to demonstrate a variety of specific skills:
- Flawless writing in English for a variety of audiences (including social media, articles and reports)
- An eye for good design and attractive content
- Ability to quickly pick up new digital tools and skills
- Manage multiple simultaneous tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience and confidence using Microsoft Office suite, Cava, Zoom, WordPress, MailChimp, Social Media, Adobe suite, video editing
What we can offer
This is a six-month paid traineeship starting 1st September, through a Belgian professional immersion contract.
You will be working with a dynamic and passionate team who work in English and are based across Europe. You will gain a huge amount of experience that you can take with you into your next job, though we are always keen to try and employ our interns. You will have the opportunity to work with people from many different sectors and countries, through our diverse portfolio of projects and networks. You will get high level experience across fields such as learning development, project management, digital marketing, and communication.
Compensation is approximately 950 euros per month as a paid internship allowance. You must be able to carry out this six-month traineeship based in Belgium and have the right to work in Belgium. Our office is based in Tervuren – easily accessible from Brussels or Leuven in around 30 minutes.
