Job Title: Projects Associate – EU Partner regions
Bantani works in the lifelong learning field, supporting the development of entrepreneurial skills and mindset. We are a Belgian non-profit, which works mainly in Europe but also across the globe.
We are a leading organisation at EU policy level, contributing to thinking and development on entrepreneurial learning and education and economic development policy. We
- share information and expertise through networks, presentations and conferences
- Run communities of practice in the area of entrepreneurial learning
- Advise governments on entrepreneurial learning
- Carry out research on entrepreneurial learning
- Write grant proposals involving different partners.
- We are an international, small but dynamic distributed team that works in English.
Our current projects include
- The EntreComp Community – a new online global community space for organsiations and educators involved in entrepreneurial learning
- ELYME – Entrepreneurial capacity building for young migrants
- EntreCompEdu – A project developing an entrepreneurial skills framework for educators
- CRADLE – Designing a teaching methodology that fosters entrepreneurial and language skills in primary school pupils
We work on changing the education field to infuse entrepreneurial skills such as creativity and vision, spotting opportunities, problem solving. We want to support our staff to enhance their skills too …
Due to expansion of our work, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Projects Associate – EU and Partner Regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the project team in all aspects of project coordination, implementation, communications, events and research related to developing entrepreneurial skills and learning mainly with or in the EU Partner Regions (Western Balkans, Turkey, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia). This is role that would suit a person with good knowledge of the EU partner regions and has 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
Responsibilities:
- Project management (with a specific focus on activities within EU partner regions):
- Provide overall coordination and support implementation of project activities;
- Be the lead liaison with colleagues working in the regions, developing stakeholder and partner networks to support Bantani work;
- Conduct policy research on relevant topics and develop policy briefs related to policy at international/national level;
- Provide events and project support, including drafting briefs, supporting meetings and conferences;
- Prepare project reports and presentations as required;
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project completion;
- Building connections and networks with project partners from regions outside EU.
The EntreComp Community:
- Provide support to develop and administer the EntreComp Community and the online learning platform;
- Coordinate the EntreComp Champion Award scheme;
- Manage networks, engagement and communications with partner regions to build The EntreComp Community membership
- Curate and publish new and existing resources that support development of entrepreneurial learning in the regions;
- Support development of micro-learning or MOOCs for the regions;
- Identify content for and write newsletters and articles relevant to the regions;
- Plan and organise internal and external activities and events;
Our criteria – who are we looking for?
- Someone who is fluent to at least C2 level in English and Russian, with Turkish or other regional languages as a real advantage
- Someone who has master level degree/s in European Studies, Political Science, International Relations or other relevant field;
- Someone with an understanding of the EU institutions, policy-making process, EU external actions – particularly relevant to EU partner regions;
- Someone who has 1-3 years experience of working in the education and lifelong learning sector
- Someone who has evidence of excellent writing skills
- Someone who has excellent communication skills with experience of working with European stakeholders in international environments
- Someone who can work well as part of a team.
- Someone with excellent attention to detail.
- Someone who is familiar with creating and maintaining an engaging tone of voice for social media and community platforms
- Someone who is passionate about social media and digital communications
